Accommodation in Mallaig - Hotels, B&Bs and more

Mallaig has many excellent accommodation providers, able to suit all budgets and travel requirements. A forever-bustling and popular port, the village marks the end of the Road to the Isles, but presents the means for visitors to continue their adventures to the Small Isles or to the Knoydart Peninsula. Mallaig is busiest between May and September when accommodation can be hard to find if not booked well in advance. Most of our hotels and other providers are open from March – October and some are open all year round.

Mallaig is the largest of the local villages and a central hub for all amenities.  Located in the heart of the village, many of our members offer accommodation within walking distance of both the rail and ferry terminals. Note this is where the Jacobite Steam Train ends its journey and you can find inspiration on our Things to do in Mallaig blog.

The village offers B&B’s & Guest Houses, Mallaig Hotels, Self Catering and Backpackers accommodation.

All our members facilities are listed within this site including location, contact details and links to their own websites and booking facilities. You can find all of these and more in the Members section. Please note not all members have a website but will generally be contactable by phone, email or on social media.

When is a good time to book accommodation in Mallaig?

To ensure you get to pick your desired accommodation provider we advise ADVANCED bookings, especially in the peak months May – September when the area becomes an extremely popular destination. Several months in advance would be wise to avoid disappointment.

The Road to the Isles Marketing Group publishes information on its member accommodation providers in good faith but does not operate its own quality assurance scheme.
